DDC Youth’s goal is to build relationships and trust with teenagers from the projects and broken homes, so that we can disciple and lead them to a relationship with Jesus. We do this through a layered approach, involving consistency, trust, and a demonstration of Jesus’ deep and encompassing love. We desire to see teenagers of the streets and projects find a relationship with God that sets them on a path towards the bright and full future that He has for them.
Friday Activity Night is the entry point for each student into DDC Youth. Friday nights are simple, fun, and nonthreatening. They are a safe place for the kids to come play a game, eat, and hear a small encouraging word. The purpose of this gathering is to create relationships and consistency in the student’s lives in order to build trust.
We also love to take our students to various events and professional games!! There is nothing like going to a game with a student and watching them scream for their team.
There are lots of creative ways to jump into serving with DDC Youth.
It can be as simple as playing basketball, driving to a game, or donating a meal or snack for Youth Nights. These teenagers are the future and we want to be a part of transforming the path they are on.
